During the Sri Sri Yoga retreat that is taught in 10 hours spread over 5 days, certified teachers will train you to successfully practice these techniques at home so that every facet of your life will continue to improve. This retreat is ideal for all levels of yoga enthusiasts from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners.
Retreat provides a good experience of all aspects of yoga, including rejuvenating asanas, energizing pranayamas, blissful meditations, development of a personal yoga practice, two holistic living workshops ( Mind Matters | Health & Happiness ) diet tips and much more.
Our food is Wholesome, local, Sri Lankan vegetarian – vegan and gluten free options available as well. Providing a mostly plant based, sattvic menu, according to an Ayurvedic lifestyle.

There are various types of accommodation including the 12-bed house with fantastic views and rooms very good for groups, six-bed house with fantastic views and rooms very good for groups, and six double rooms all with own ensuite bathrooms.

Retreat location
High in the Knuckles mountains and overlooking the Victoria Dam Lake, Welikande Villas estate is set in 12 acres of cultivated with fruit, coffee, spices, and vegetables. There are three acres of landscaped gardens on its own Mountain spur. The area is a UNESCO site with very little tourism and hence a rich local community and culture.
Food
Our food is vegetarian – vegan and gluten free options available as well. Providing a mostly plant based, sattvic menu, according to an Ayurvedic lifestyle.In itself, practicing Yoga asanas is one of the most beneficial regimes, but when complemented with the healthy food habits, it can really create wonders. In fact, eating the right food is an essential part of living a Yogic life.What we eat, not only influences our physical well being, but also our emotions and thoughts. Yoga, does not dissect food into proteins, carbohydrates or fats, instead it classifies them according to the effect they have on the body and mind, into three types – satva, rajas and tamas. Tamasic food is the kind of food which makes us lethargic or sluggish, while Rajasic food is that which brings about activity or restlessness. Whereas, Sattvic food is the kind which makes you feel light, energetic and enthusiastic.

Meet the Yogi.
Lanka Jayasekare chose an unconventional and challenging path of becoming a Volunteer of Art of Living driven by his passion to serve and inspired by his master Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.He was graduated from SriSri School of Yoga – India from the very first batch of QCI Advance Yoga Teachers Training Program.Since then he was involved in teaching SriSri Yoga & Holistic Living workshops abroad & Srilanka.He is the Co-Founder & Mentor of SSYRS (SriSri Yoga Retreat- Sri lanka).He conducts compelling workshops on a broad spectrum of subjects, from Yoga & Meditation to Holistic Way of Living.

Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Bandaranaike International Colombo Airport (CMB). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request at an additional cost of 70 USD.
Arrival by bus
You can go by 654 bus from Kandy to Teldeniya then tuk tuk.
Arrival by train
You can go to Kandy by train from Colombo.
Pick up from Kandy railway station is available upon request at an additional cost of LKR 2500.

Cancellation Policy
A reservation requires a deposit of 18% of the total price.The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled before the arrival date.The rest of the payment should be paid on departure.
